Sodexo Schools and Universities offer modern catering services to education facilities and they approached us to support four university locations: Coventry University, Solent University, City University, London and University of the West of England (UWE Bristol).
When it comes to university life, catching up with friends over a coffee, enjoying lunch between lectures and spending time in the university bars are all part of the student routine and Sodexo Schools and Universities approached HDY with the brief to maximise social media to drive awareness for their food ordering app, increase their following for each hospitality account, increase sales and tap into trends as well as develop a social media strategy.
The first task was to carry out a full social media audit of their existing social platforms and develop a strategic content plan. Messaging was to be direct and engaging with clear calls to action for maximised engagement, reach and impressions.
Consistency is key and essential for brand recall and so we created a tone of voice guide and a social media style guide which were designed to create impact and capture attention on feeds. From these guides, content was developed to be shared across key social platforms where the audiences were most active and included Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.
Alongside bespoke content crafted for each university, our social media experts also spent a day at City University, London to deliver social media training for the Sodexo Schools and universities executives. This immersive masterclass demonstrated how to effectively post about the brand, with a focus on LinkedIn.
